I too think it should be illegal to rollout unless you are pressured. It's cheese anyway you slice it. Nothing is worse than playing someone who chooses to rollout with their QB several times in a drive. It's hard to stop because the defenses in this game aren't meant to be able to stop it effectively. Spying works sometimes, but not when you have a slower MLB trying to tackle a shifty Vince Young. It should be banned unless pressured.

I agree people should not keep bringing the icons up and down.Once you press the icons down you shouldn't be allowed to bring them back up.I I disagree with that...just because you take the icons down does not mean you should not be able to bring them back up again. What you shouldn't be allowed to do is, as the rule states, leave them down to come up near the line pretending as if you're going to scramble, baiting the DB's up, then hitting a wide open WR. There is a difference between those two things. For instance, I get pressured by a blitz, I pull down my icons to run around faster, avoid the blitz, by scrambling around, bring the icons back up, set and throw to a WR who is open but not because of my actions (as in running up near the line to sucker some DB to abandon his WR) but open simply because he got open the "normal way" and not by the QB baiting him way. I'm just not sure from reading alot of the comments in this thread if people are reading CAREFULLY what the rule states and its intent.

If you run up to close to the line, and the DBs come up, then you should just run the ball with the QB, because that is a glitch to the game. but you can still rollout, as long as it is not with engaging the AI for the DB to leave his man in coverage.

I think it should be allowed only if you are avoiding a defender about to sack your QB. I do it and it helps avoid sacks but so does stepping up in the pocket. I dont think there really can be a rule governing this because there is so much grey area.

That's it in a nutshell, leave the icons up and do what you gotta do, none of that bringing up/pulling em down nonsense. That's what this rule is all about. well you should be able to pull it up and down. the thing is, if you run up and ingage the DBs, then you shouldnt be able to pass to the reciever. thats how i understand the rule.
