III. GAME PROCEDURES
1. All OCFL league games will originate from the OCFL room (any coach may create the OCFL room). The password will be sent to coaches via e-mail. Please be discreet with the password as the OCFL room is for OCFL League Members ONLY! If the password is given out to others and it is found out that you are the offending party, you will be removed from the OCFL immediately.
2. All league games are to be played with the following settings: 6 Mins, All-American, with fair play settings turned to on. Fatigue and Injuries must also be on.
IV. VACATIONS & EXTENDED ABSENCES
If you are going to be unable to play your scheduled league games for any extended period of time, be courteous enough to your opponent(s) & to the rest of the league by making arrangement to either complete your games ahead of schedule, or reschedule them. Especially in those cases where you know well in advance of an absence. Be sure to contact your Conference Commissioner & your opponents regarding your absence and let them know when you expect to return. If you fail to do so, your game will be forfeited and simulated and your opponent will be awarded the victory. Undoubtedly emergencies will occur, and these situations will be handled on a case by case basis.
V. DISCONNECTS
Although it does not happen often, it is possible that you or your opponent may be disconnected from the game or the Internet entirely before your game is finished. In the event of a disconnect - no matter what point the game is at - if possible both coaches should take the stats at that point of the game and then both coaches immediately return to the OCFL room and complete the game.
However, incase for some reason the 2 owners can't reconnect, we have several contengincies planned in this system that we feel is fair to all involved.
In the event of a disconnect, it is up to the person leading at the time of the disconnect whether or not to play out the remainder of the game in a new game or start completely from scratch, so long as the following conditions apply:
1. The player is leading by more than 3 or more points
2. The player is leading by any amount of points in the 4th quarter
If a player is leading by less than 3 pts and the game disconnects at any point before the 4th qtr, then a new game should be played from the beginning.
In the case of a tie then it is up to both players to agree on a solution, if both parties cannot agree on whether to play a new game completely from the start or play a new game using the previous stats and playing the remaining quarters, then the league officers will issue a verdice and decision upon which the game will be completed.
All disconnects should be reported to the conference commish and including the following details:
1. Time and score of disconnect (ex Iowa was up 24-14 with 2:33 left in 3rd quarter)
2. Method used to resolve disconnect (ex We started a brand new game)
3. Who was believed to be at fault, if any, or if EA servers went down (ex I think it was a normal disconnect, I think the other guy pulled the plug)
As QUITTING is not tolerated, all disconnects will be tracked by league officers for each team and if a particular player seems to be involved in a particularly high number of disconnects it is at the discretion of the commissioner as to whether that coach should be replaced or not, depending on his willingness to work to resolve such issues.
VI. INTEGRITY
1. Cheating of no kind will not be tolerated. This includes, but is not limited too, breaking league rules, reporting false results and stats, filing false complaints against owners, or assaulting the integrity of the league and its members. If you suspect your opponent is cheating, you can pause the game, and question the offending coach about their practices, using the OCFL rule book as your guide. I actually recommend that coaches print a copy of these rules and keep them handy when in league play as a reference guide. The OCFL rule book will be the last say and will govern all styles of play and conduct. If you are unable to come to an amicable agreement, and you are sure your opponent is cheating, finish the game and take down the applicable stats & game information and report the suspicious activity to your Conference Commissioner as soon as possible. The league officers by way of the OCFL rule book will make the final judgement. Which may include, but is not limited too, ordering a rematch, declaring a winner, taking disciplinary action against the accused, etc. However, be aware that quitting a game is not condoned as an acceptable way to protest a game.
2. Secondly, DISRESPECT towards a league officer in any shape or form (cussing an officer out, etc) will not be tolerated and you will be removed immediately. We do this so we all can have fun. None of us is paid and we do this so we ALL can have fun. Please respect your league officers as they work hard to make the OCFL...THE "REAL" BEST DAMN LEAGUE PERIOD!
